Annual General Meeting 2024

It's that time of the year with the AGM set down for 9am Sunday 24 November 2024. This year there are several positions up for renewal. They are:

Club Captain
Women's Golf Captain
Director of Greens
Non-Full Member Director

Motions and Nominations must be received by the General Manager by 4pm Friday 8th November. Nomination forms are available from Administration Team, or can be downloaded via the below link.

Simply introduce a non member to one of our Ladies Only Group Coaching Clinics, and for every non DGC member that registers in one of these clinics the member that introduced them will recieve a $50 DGC Gift Voucher.

ELDERS HOLE IN ONE:

Elders Top End Group hole in one monthly jackpot prize is $900 for November. Thank you to Tim for his sponsorship and support. *T&C's apply

Temp course 14 out will be put in play this Thursday the 14th of November

Hole 1 will revert to a par 4 for men and Hole 1S will be back in play as Hole 18. 14S and 14A will be out of play.

The mainline will now be running down the LHS of 14 due to all the services and infrastructure along the 14 RAAF fenceline. Movement of players from 13 to 15 will be down the RAAF fencline, please take care at all times when moving through areas with works being carried out.

CHRISTMAS IS COMING

It's only six weeks until Christmas and the proshop are stocked up on golf bags, shirts, shorts, hats, gloves, balls and much more to put under the tree. There's something to suit every discerning golfers tastes and budget. Come in and shop for others or let us know what you want for Christmas before you send in your loved ones. We will be maintaining a Sneaky Santa register so we can steer them in the right direction when they come in. We will exercise complete discretion as long as you promise to act surprised on Christmas day!

MISCORE NTP RECORDING

Following the recent trial of the MiScore NTP functionality, Darwin Golf Club Competitions on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday that utilise MiScore for scoring will exclusively use the MiScore app for recording NTP's and the Propin. The Gimmee app will no longer be used for these events. Gimmee will still be used for internal clubs such as the NTSWGA, VETS, Busi Ladies and Internal Pennants. Captains should contact Gimmee administrators to arrange NTP's in their respective competitions.

GOODBYE 14S

Wednesday this week marks the last time 14S will be in play for the foreseeable future. From Thurday, both 14S and 14A will be out of play while the last phase of the irrigation project is completed. Once completed, we will be happily back playing on the full course. Staying on top of course changes and administering competitions during this period has been challenging but we have learned a lot and it has been great to continue to play on an 18 hole course fo the duration. Thank you all for your patience and understanding over the last 18 months.

Trivia Night:

Scott Murphy is rocking Trivia Night so round up the troops and join us from 6:30pm in the main clubroom. There are plenty of prizes to be won every Wednesday!! Bookings are advised, so call 08 8927 1322 to secure your table. The Jackpot is now at $950 this week so be in it to win it!!!

Live Music Fridays:

Live music is every Friday from 6pm! This week is Harry Mellios so come down and enjoy your Friday night with us.

Meat Raffle:

House & Social Committee are running meat raffles every Friday night. Thank you to Prime Meats NT & Grant De Ruyter for their generosity in supplying the club with meat vouchers.
