Our PGA professionals offer a range of coaching options to suit all skill ranges, demographics and goals. Both our Professionals have a flare for communication, coaching and growing the game. KURT WATTS
Australian PGA Member Kurt Watts is the Lead Golf Professional at The Darwin Golf Club. Dedicated to golf development and player pathways Kurt’s passion is creating golfers for life. Through his coaching philosophy “your game made simple”, Kurt utilises personalised instruction tailored to a player’s physical capabilities and their personal Golfing Goals. Kurt fosters a safe and supportive learning environment across all ages from Juniors through to the seasoned Professional. BEC WEST
Bec is a PGA of Australia Certified Golf Professional based at Darwin Golf Club, renowned for her inclusive and empowering coaching style. With a deep passion for helping players of all abilities, she specializes in introducing women to golf, enhancing short game skills, and fostering confidence on the course and All Abilities Coaching.
At Darwin Golf Club, Bec leads a variety of programs tailored to women, including the “Get Into Golf” series, which offers structured group coaching for beginners and those returning to the game. These sessions focus on playing various shots, scoring strategies, and building a supportive community among participants.
Bec’s expertise extends to all players of ages and abilities with short game instruction. She helps golfers refine their putting, chipping, and pitching techniques. Her approach emphasizes understanding each player’s unique goals and developing personalized strategies to achieve them.
Committed to inclusivity, Bec also serves as an All Abilities Coach, ensuring that golf is accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Her dedication to growing the game is evident in her involvement with programs like the Australian Golf Foundation’s Junior Girls Scholarship, which provides young girls with coaching and opportunities to grow to participate in club competitions. TrackMan
TrackMan Golf Radar offers invaluable data to help you reach your golf goals. If you are fascinated with the numbers then a Trackman Session with Kurt is what you are after. Trackman helps with information about launch angle, angle of attack, ball speed, club head speed, club path, face angle and face to path. The information can be very informative and valuable if you are wanting to work on specifics with your game and for club fitting.

Club Fitting
Kurt Watts is able to assist you to find the right equipment to ensure you get the most out of your game. Club fittings can be booked in directly with Kurt to ensure an uninterrupted quality session to go through your equipment and plan for when to next.
The Darwin Golf Club also offers Golf Members to have access to on-going specialist care coupled with the members discounts on all things from coaching to equipment, apparel, footwear, putters, wedges and more.
